Established in 1909, the Superior National Forest is located in the Arrowhead Region of Minnesota between the Canada-United States border and the north shore of Lake Superior. It is home to fabulous foliage and over 2000 rivers and streams. Scenic views and quiet trails offer fresh air, deep relaxation and an abundance of maple, poplar, aspen, birch, ash, tamarack and oak along the North Shore of Lake Superior with a larger population of pine, fir, and spruce trees in the "North Woods".
